Homemade Cranberry Sauce
This recipe is extremely simple, and the result is divine! You’ll never return to store-bought sauce again.
Ingredients
Instructions:
- Prep your workstation: You will need 1 cup of orange juice, a cup of sugar, and a medium-size bag of fresh cranberries. If you don’t have juice on hand, water will work just fine as well.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the juice and sugar. Once all of the sugar dissolves, mix the cranberries into the pot.
- Allow the cranberries to simmer for at least 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. You will want all of the berries to pop open from the heat—that is what will release the fruit’s pectin, which will help the sauce solidify into a jelly consistency.
- Once your cranberry mixture becomes frothy, remove it from the heat. Transfer the sauce into your serving dish to cool completely.
